Sense & Sensibility on Sunday 5th August 2018 at 7pm in the Walled Garden at Haughton Hall.

As part of our Haughton Summer Festival to celebrate the 300th Anniversary of Haughton Hall, we are pleased to announce the first of two outdoor productions by the Chapterhouse Theatre Company.

Sense and Sensibility

Join Chapterhouse Theatre Company this summer as Elinor and Marianne Dashwood make their first forays into the exciting world of Regency society. Adapted by award-winning writer Laura Turner, this exquisite and lively tale follows the sisters as they fall in love, make mistakes and experience heartbreak for the first time in their quest to find a balance between sense and sensibility. Relax and enjoy a night of magical theatre under the stars.

The doors open at 5.30pm with a range of hot food including beef burgers, hotdogs and BBQ snacks on sale along with a full bar service before the performance and during the mid way break. (You may also bring your own picnic food but please take away your rubbish afterwards!)

We are also offering a pre-booked and paid offer with a glass of Prosecco or Pimms with nibbles for £5 per adult and £2.50 for children 4 - 11 years old for a Fruit Punch from 5.30pm served in the marquee. Tokens can be purchased below for the drinks reception from our paypal site and collected on the evening at reception on production of your purchase receipt from paypal.

Tickets for the show are available from 'See Tickets' by clicking HERE and are not available directly from the Hotel.

Please note that the tickets are non refundable should you be unable to attend and we recommend customers take out insurance from the See Tickets website, in case of cancellation or other unforeseen circumstances as the Hotel cannot be held liable in the event of cancellation for any reason.

We suggest customers bring along low seating or blankets to sit on the ground and maybe warmer evening clothes should the weather be cooler or wet on the day. The performance will go ahead even in rainy conditions unless unsafe to do so.

We are also holding another Outdoor Theatre production of Alice in Wonderland on Sunday 2nd September at 5pm with an additional treat of a Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea served from 2-4pm before the show at an extra cost. Please the webpage for more details.
