February Half-Term warm up trains

Ride our heated carriages from Llanfair Caereinion to Castle Caereinion return and finish up with a drink in the cosy tearoom at Llanfair Caereinion. The special return fare of £9.50 for adults and £4.00 for children includes a hot drink for adults and a juice box for children.   Please note that all trains start and finish at Llanfair Caereinion only where there is plenty of FREE parking. There is no parking at Castle Caereinion.   Trains depart Llanfair Caereinion for the appoximately 1 hour return journey at 11.00, 12.45 and 14.30.

Half Term Fun: Wonderful Winter!

There are 2 sessions of this event 10am-12pm & 1.30-3.30pm Come along to our celebration of winter at Severn Valley Country Park. Create some wintery silhouette pictures and make your own snow and icicles that won’t melt! We’ll then explore what the park is like in winter and see if we can find any muddy puddles. There’s lots of winter fun to be had at Severn Valley! (Warp up warm, wellies are advised! Come dressed for the outdoors and muddy paths. Not suitable for pushchairs.)

Help out our feathered friends at a tough time of the year for them. Our ranger team will help you to make your own log or pine cone bird feeder to hang in your garden. All materials will be supplied, just bring your enthusiasm.

Stars in Your Skies - The Nature of the Moon

Do you think you know our moon? Our popular Stars series returns for 2018 with a focus on everything lunar.The first Stars of the year concentrates on the nature of the moon, how it was formed and how it influenced earth's geology, oceans, life, myths, legends and science. As usual there will be soup and a roll included in the ticket price with teas and coffees available to purchase as well. If conditions are suitable there will be opportunity for observing at the end of the session.
